What does it mean to honor Treaties 1 – 11? What are the implications of the White Paper 2.0 with regard to the traditional treaty rights of indigenous peoples?
We invite you to gather with members of the Iskapowishak Grassroots Treaty Walk on Saturday, August 17th at 2 PM at SSUC, 10740 – 19 Ave, Edmonton. Patrick Etherington, Sr. and Frances Whiskeychan, together with others of the Mushkegowuk territory of Treaty 9, have walked nearly 3000 km from Cochrane, Ontario to Edmonton enroute to Hinton to raise awareness regarding land and treaty rights.
